Web branding unique sells

What do you offer your customers that no one else provides? Whatever that is may be a point of branding.

Whatever is unique to your business may likely be a positive point of web branding. It may not be enough to simply try to be competitive on price. If your business is similar to dozens of other online businesses you need to discover what it is that makes your business unique. It may be something as simple as free shipping when no one else provides this perk.

For one well-known pizza chain the brand they chose was a delivery within thirty minutes of order or the pizza was free. They made a big promise and then worked chain-wide to make sure they could deliver on the promise. This meant everyone worked toward a common goal of on time delivery. It wasn’t a matter of demonstrating taste tests and customer referrals - it was a unique gesture that helped brand the company.

It would be safe to say that web branding is vital to long-term success. Because every business does something different this means that every business has the potential to point out what makes them unique. Potential customers want to know what it is that makes you stand out. They want to have a reason to buy from you. For the pizza consumer, the “30 minutes or it’s free’ offer was perfect because it played into a sense of gaming. The consumer figured it was probable the company couldn’t deliver in thirty minutes so they ordered in hope that their pizza would be free – at least some of the time.

One company I’m familiar with has made it a habit of wrapping all their jewelry gifts with a satin rose and bow. Among women who received those gifts there was an excitement in knowing there would be a quality jewelry gift inside.

Your web branding point could be linked to a particular product, but it could also be linked to specialized service, no-cost extended warranties or complimentary delivery upgrades.

Find your niche – not just in the products or services you provide, but also in how you present yourself to potential customers through positive web branding.

Work at being able to make big promises and then do everything you can to deliver. This means always challenging yourself to do better, implementing ways to improve, adjusting the course of action until your customers rave about the quality and service you offer.

Who are you? When you figure it out, use the information in web branding.

Get what you pay for hypnosis script

When I first set up as a hypnotherapist, I was amazed at the number of other people out there in the world who are also doing (or trying to do) the same as me. That is, being successful in a pretty competitive field. I guess the good news is that there are enough people out there creating problems that they are always going to require people like me to help them solve them.

The other thing that astounded me, is the types of problems that people create for themselves. Phobias about hair falling out - when it isn’t, worries about using a specific word or fears about spelling are all but a few of the weird and wonderful ailments from which people suffer themselves.

So what do you do? You’re a newly qualified hypnotherapist (or perhaps you’ve been qualified for years, a master in your field!) and somebody turns u in your office, claiming to have a problem with the shape of their nose, or a fear of the wind..What do you do? They didn’t tell you about this crazy stuff when you were training!

You do what I did. You go on the internet and hope and pray that someone else has had a problem like this and can give you some idea about how the heck your going to help them overcome it. Or more to the point, how you’re going to get them to see that this problem, is just a symptom for something much deeper; and you’re not even sure what that deeper thing is. Yet.

So I went on the net, and found a lot of people offering hypnosis scripts for this and that…some of them seemed to have nearly what I wanted, some of them were way off the mark. Some of them were free, other were expensive, and some you had to create a monthly membership with - so that even if you were not downloading their scripts every month, you still had to pay.

People Building is a website that offers a huge range of hypnosis scripts for many different things. The best bits about it are that you can contact one of their qualified hypnotherapists, give them an idea of what you need for your hypnosis session, and they will put a script together for you - especially personalized for exactly what you need. Plus, you pay per script. You get what you pay for and you don’t have to pay for anything else.

So whether you're looking for inspiration from other people's scripts, or to use other people scripts, or perhaps you want a specific script created for you, you can contact us and see what we have to offer. You might like to buy the entire scripts selection in an ebook and have all of our scripts at your fingertips to complete your collection. There are two further resources that will help you. The first is the complete collection of all of our scripts. Again, you get what you pay for. Whenever a new script is created by one of the team, we revise the ebook to include it, an adjust the price of the item accordingly.

Ten hottest buyers markets to be announced by housing predictor

Housing Predictor, which forecasts housing market futures in all 50 U. S. states, will announce it’s 10 Hottest Buyers Real Estate Markets in 2007 for investing in homes, condos and townhouses.

Housing Predictor is an independent web site that forecasts housing markets in more than 250 local housing markets throughout the U. S.

The increase in foreclosures, the crisis in the sub prime lending market and increasing troubles in the conventional mortgage markets, where notices of default have increased are making many local housing markets prices decline. But there are still 13 states, most of which are located in the southern half of the country, where housing markets remain strong and are appreciating.

The web site has already named it’s Top 25 Markets for 2007 and its Worst 25 Markets for the year. But an increasing number of investors, many of whom are new to investing in real estate, have requested the 10 Hottest Buyers Markets forecast from the web site’s economists. Housing Predictor is responding to their requests with the upcoming forecasts.

Michigan’s real estate markets are in an all out recession due to declining population resulting from job losses. Hawaii’s local markets have slowed as a result of higher prices and the aftermath of an earthquake to hit the islands.

Many of California’s local housing markets are beginning to see daylight at the end of the tunnel as more buyers turn out in the spring.

On the east coast, Florida’s markets are beginning to see pent up buyer activity begin to turn the tide to more activity and increasing sales in many markets with the exception of Miami and a few others in the state.

Texas is witnessing a booming real estate market that should last well into 2008 with population increases never experienced before.

Housing Predictor regularly surveys market activity throughout the U. S. to keep the pulse on the housing market, and will name it’s 10 Hottest Buyers Markets in April with the greatest likelihood of appreciation during the coming year.

Which online business opportunity will you choose

One thing is certain, there is not a shortage of online business opportunities for you to choose from. The problem is, as most of us already know, that many of these opportunities stem from fly by night companies that simply are trying to make some quick cash. For their unsuspecting members, they are simply counting down the days until they close the doors and reopen another biz-op under a different name. Most people that are caught up in these systems are thrown into one bad home based business after another. It doesn't have to be that way, however, as legitimate business opportunities are also available. If you find the right opportunity, you will find success. Here are some things to look for when you are choosing an online opportunity.

Proven Leadership - Some names are synonymous with success. You should familiarize yourself with people who are already successful in the business opportunity area. Those people are the real leaders that you should be following and by doing so you will certainly be able to find success. There are plenty of places that you can research these leaders to find out if they have been involved with winning business opportunities or fly-by-night scams.

Total System Automation - The Internet has given us a real opportunity to be involved in business systems that are automated from the start to the finish. All of us are busy and many of us have full-time jobs and family responsibilities that keep us on our toes from morning until night. Most of us do not have the time to put into starting a business that will give us success for the long-term. That is why so many of us are stuck in an endless cycle of working hours for dollars and not building a true business that will work for us for the long term. The system that you choose should be automated so that you do not have to worry about such things as sales and chasing leads. Anything that needs to have a human touch should be handled by someone that is experienced, your business leaders.

Joining a Proven System - Anybody can make promises, real leaders can prove it. Whenever you are considering joining an online business opportunity, check the numbers. Real leaders will be able to show you that their system works and they will be confident enough to be able to guide you by the hand through every step of the process. They know that if you make money, they will make money and they are interested in helping you to find your success.

Even though there are some business opportunities out there that will simply take your money and run, there are some legitimate online businesses that will help you to find your success. Just make sure that you do your research and check out the system thoroughly to make sure that it lives up to your expectations. By doing so, you will help to ensure yourself success as you're building your business and an opportunity that will last for a lifetime.

Who controls your thoughts and information

In the last 10 years, many people have called me a nerd. I love to read books, magazines, newspapers, and even articles on the net. Sure enough there are some videos I could watch. Audios I could listen when I go to gymn.

Everything is the same thing. It is all the flow of information going towards my conscious mind. In fact, believe it or not, every word that I speak is all based on the information I received.

This makes me think TWICE recently:

“Who controls my thoughts and information?”

I thought I was the guy who controlled everything. I thought I was the super smart guy. I thought I was the one with the source of information.

The truth is very different.

I am NOT the one who controls the information. I am NOT the one who controls the words that comes out from my mouth?

Who is it in control, Henry? Who controls our thoughts and information?

Let me ask these questions:

1. Do you know about Google?

2. Do you know about Microsoft?

3. What have you heard about Google recently?

4. What have you heard about Microsoft recently?

5. Do you know about Henry Gold?

6. Do you know what Henry Gold did in New York?

7. What made Henry Gold famous?

Now, once you have answered these questions. Tell me exactly whether you can figure out who controls your thought and information that are coming your way.

Seriously, I mean.

Everybody knows Henry Gold is the one who pioneered the give away long before anybody else.

The question I would like you to consider is…

“Who Pioneered Your Thoughts About Henry Gold?”

Here is the answer, “The Media“.

Look. Who tells you about Microsoft New Product, "Vista"? Who tells you Google is trying to take over Microsoft? Who tells you Henry Gold in New York? Who tells you This marketer and that marketer is famous online?

The Media.

Now, who controls the media?

Microsoft owns http://MSN. com, http://Microsoft. com, http://live. com, and http://MSNBC. com Google owns http://Google. com, http://Bloggers. com, and http://YouTube. com Henry Gold owns http://HenryGold. com and http://TheSuperGifts. com.

This is the media these guys are using. They own the place where they can spread out the word about their companies, every single time they have new information.

In addition…

They also own a network of strategic alliances where they can spread out the news every single time they would like to broadcast to you.

That’s why when you heard the news about Henry Gold, it is NOT just from my newsletter, http://HenryGold. com, and TheSuperGifts. com. However, it is from my various network of alliances as well.

This is why and how you heard about Henry Gold. This is why and how every single product that I come out with always turn out to be a major success.

We own the media. We own the information that we want people to pay attention to.

The key secret is… “Start owning your own media”.

How is that possible? How can I own it, when I have to compete with all the big dogs?

Start your own Blog. Start posting regularly. Start telling others about information that is valuable to them.

This is how people know about Henry Gold. This is how people know about many of my alliances. This is how people know about YOU.

You’ll be AMAZED on how the word will start to notice you every single place you go. Start doing it now!

Cheap webhosting - is it for you

There's an old adage which states that "You get what you pay for".

In most areas of life, and business, this holds true. Not necessarily so, however, in the webhosting industry. Often, you pay too much, and don't get what you pay for.

Several weeks ago I got a call from a web designer friend of mine.

"John," He said "You won't believe this".

He went on to tell me about a Plastic Surgeon he was redesigning a website for. This client was paying $600.00 per month for his webhosting account.

"The incredible thing is" He related, "I can't get the current host to return my phone calls or emails".

After looking at this clients needs, I was shocked to find that there was nothing special about his site that justified his being on anything other than a basic shared webhosting plan. We quoted him a monthly rate of under five dollars.

In this case, the client was being raped by an unscrupulous host who was not only overcharging him, but not even providing the basic support he needed.

This is an extreme example, no doubt, but it all to often characterizes the poor deal which most website owners fall into.

Several years ago, there was no such thing as a webhosting industry. Nearly all websites were hosted by local ISP's. The average monthly cost for hosting a website was $20.00 per month. Often, if you called the ISP with a technical question, they would tell you to buy a book or take a class.

Around 1996, we saw the emergence of a few "webhosting" companies. These were companies which were strictly committed to hosting websites. Using the economy of scale, they were able to offer incredibly useful webhosting packages for around $10.00 per month. What's more, some of these companies provided useful tech support which was geared towards meeting a website owners needs.

Fast forward to 2005 and we now see the emergence of a new type of web host - the cheap webhosting provider. These are companies which offer hosting for less than $5.00 per month.

Generally, cheap webhosting providers are newer companies. There's a reason for this. It's extremely difficult for the older companies to lower their prices when they already have a large customer base which pays higher prices. They'd be slashing their gross, and most companies just can't afford that.

So how do cheap webhosting providers offer such a low price to begin with?

Part of it is that servers, hard drive space and bandwidth are much, much less expensive than they were several years ago. Cheap webhosting providers capitalize on this.

Another part is that cheap hosting providers use a different business model than the older providers. Webhosting is a very competitive business. Until recently, web hosts attempted to compete by providing the most tools and features. The problem with this model is that not everyone needs everything. Most web hosts provide free backup services to all of their clients. Backups are costly, and not everyone needs or wants them, but everyone pays for them because they're built into the cost of the package.

A cheap webhosting provider, on the other hand, might give you the basic features that everyone uses, but offer weekly backups as an available add on feature, putting the cost of backing up websites on only those customers who want that service.

This all sounds great, I know, but what about service? Will I get competent and fast customer support from a company which charges me $4.00 per month?

The answer, surprisingly, is usually yes.

Obviously, not all cheap webhosting providers will give you great service. But not all expensive webhosting providers will give good service either. Our Plastic Surgeon friend couldn't get his $600.00 host to return his emails.

But, with a cheaper provider, the key for the providers success is customer retention. A savvy web host will endeavor to please his existing clients by providing the best support possible.

How would you like to be in a business that allows you to keep one hundred percent of the profits with very minimal overhead and all you have to do is own a computer and have an internet connection. So if this sounds good to you then read on if not you may be missing out on a proven money making opportunity that many people are cashing in on. In this article you will learn all about resell rights for digital products and how you can cash in on this great money making opportunity.

So you may be asking yourself just what are resell rights, and what are digital products? Digital products are products such as e-books, e-courses, learning courses, articles, reports, software, multimedia, tutorials, just to name a few examples. Many digital products provide information, because information is what really sells on the internet.

Well resell rights are products and or services that you can put your little spin on and sell them for a one hundred percent profit. They are someone else’s products that you sell and they actually sell those rights to you to sell and then you can make a profit as well. There are three different types of resell rights that we will discuss, they are basic resell rights, rebranding resell rights, and master resell rights.

How basic resell rights work is basically you can buy a digital product that has resell rights and then you can resell it for whatever amount of money that you want. You get to keep 100% profit and you do not need to pay out any royalties or commissions to any body. Sounds good right, well it is but there are a few rules.

You can not change the e-book or digital product at all and you can not put your name on it you are just selling it. You also can not pass or sell the resell rights to the next customer the customers are just buying the products not the resell rights. This is very easy to sell and many, many people are having much success selling basic resell rights when selling digital products.

Rebranding resell rights are cool because you can change certain things about these resell rights. Basically rebranding resell rights are just like basic resell rights but you can certain links to your own affiliate links within the product using special software. Although more expensive these rebranding resell rights are well worth it, because your affiliate links are valuable in getting customers to your web site.

Master resell rights are like basic resell rights but you can resell the master resell rights along with the product. You can not change the product but you can resell the master rights. This is really cool and gives your customers incentive to buy your products. You should always do more research and make sure you can resell the master rights before you do sell any rights so you do not violate any rules.

Now that you know all the different types of resell rights you can determine if resell rights for digital products is right for you to sell. Here are a few tips so you do not get into this business and fail because you do not have a product that people may want. Search for your product on eBay if it is being sold for cheap you will have to compete for that price and will not make very much money.

Also you need to make sure that your product is unique so that people will want to buy your digital products. This is a easy great way to make money it is just up to you to decide if you want to resell rights for digital products.

Home business owners they have the upper hand

Any woman who has had a child has had offers to work from home. Offers like to become a medical transcriptionist, to stuff envelopes for coupon companies, test products such as toys or kitchen appliances. To practice law from a home office, have an online store or have a beauty salon in your home. Certain is that you will be your own boss. It is true that having a home business can be time consuming. However, once you are up and running, you are your own boss. You are able to decide your own schedule. You decide what type of clients you wish to handle and more importantly, no commute.

Working for a company you rarely have the choice of who you wish to serve. The clientele is normally doled out by someone else, who has had it doled out to them. When you have your own business at home, you are the person who is in charge of clientele. Instead of taking chances on dealing with clients whom you have no compatibility, you can pick and choose your own clients. This is true even for those having an online business. You can choose what your products or services are, therefore allowing you to have a more select choice of clients.

Being able to make your own schedule is a major plus for home business owners. Most enjoy not being strapped down to a rigid nine to five schedule. You can take as long a lunch as you wish. This is very important for stay at home moms who wish to earn a little extra income. You could also start work at naptime or bedtime. You are able to stay at home and meet the needs of your family and still be able to feel like a contributing member of the work force. Just being a stay at home mom often feels shut off from the world. It could feel as if you have lost your identity. Having a home business alleviates some of those feelings.

With gas prices on the soar, home business owners love their lives. They use less gas than the average worker, so they save more on money. You do not loose countless hours in cars, trains or buses. As a home business owner you are not rushed by traffic or caught in time consuming traffic jams. There is no rushing all over town to drop your kids off at school, the daycare and then get to work. Half of your lunch break isn’t eaten up by driving somewhere to find food. You have the peace of mind knowing that you will never be late getting to work in the morning or when you come from lunch. You will also be one of the few members of the work force to make it to a child’s ballgame on time.

Direct sales incentives

Direct sales incentives come in many forms, from cash bonuses for selling a given amount of a specific product, to selling to reach a specified sales quota. Some of these direct sales incentives do not always have an immediate cash value, but the idea of company wide recognition for that month, quarter or year, with perhaps an end of year bonus.

The major questions might well be: What is the best direct sales incentive? What direct sales incentive will help companies keep their best and most productive representatives? The answer to these questions is not universal, every company has to evaluate their staff and create a direct sales incentive that is geared to their needs and their triggers. A good direct sales incentive is not necessarily the one with the largest cash value, unless of course that is the driving force that gets your reps going.

There are companies that have survived on direct sales incentives that only provide certificates or letters of recognition and maybe also recognition at big company meetings or parties at the end of the year. This may not sound like much, but if recognition for a job well done is what your people need, then that will be the direct sales incentive that will work in your establishment. We often go into business and see plaques on the wall with employee of the week or month. These are the direct sales incentives that have no monetary value per say, but the employees are quite satisfied when they see customers looking at their plaques, they know that they are being acknowledged by the company and by customers.

In order to really create an effective direct sales incentive plan you really do have to know your staff. What will cause staff be motivated to improve performance? What will the direct sales incentive tools cost the organization? What is the value that these direct sales incentives bring to the performance-increase forecasted for the organization? What types of direct sales incentives will motivate individuals to meet the set performance goals? The answers to these types of questions will help evaluate your sales teams and get you to develop a strategy that will be most beneficial to your company. It is also important to allow the employees an opportunity to contribute their ideas to what they value as a direct sales incentive. This will give them a greater sense of responsibility, and sense of value.

There is such a variety of possibilities in reference to what you can offer as direct sales incentive. You could offer a team a vacation to some far off exotic place, for the whole family if their team reaches a specific goal. There are also gift cards or gift certificates to purchase some high ticket items. There are also some of the traditional direct sales incentives like a percentage of the value of their total sales, or a portion of the increase in sales that were set for the direct sales incentive. The most important thing to remember is that the most valuable direct sales incentive is genuine recognition for a job well done.

Balancing revenues and losses in business

We need money to live in this world. There is nothing wrong with that in and of itself. However if I gave equal amounts of money to invest in an online business to two individuals I would bet you after 30 days the results would be quite different. It all boils down to how that money would be spent. One person will go out and look to make quick returns based on what is promised to him or her from various different promoters.

The other will realize what they have in their hands and want to educate themselves thoroughly on how to make it work. Then they will take what they have learned and begin to test it incrementally. Once the results are in they would build from there.

One individual is patient and the other is not. It's a funny thing because they say that if we evenly distributed all the worlds wealth to everybody living on the planet that within three years (don't quote me on the time) the money would be back in the same hands as it was previously.

Often times as affiliates we get consumed with the mechanics of marketing. We can go out there write articles do press releases, do our pay per click campaigns and so on but find we are like machines doing what we are told to do yet losing sight of the fact that people like ourselves are out there buying the products.

We lose that connection. We become more focused on the destination, as in the money to be made and do not understand the journey. Life is a journey until we end and if all we are doing is looking to the future then do we ever understand the present?

Connecting with people is imperative. People buy from people. No human being can succeed in isolation. So rather than go into the abstract here lets look at a typical example. For this example I am going to bring up keyword tools. As affiliates we rely heavily on them to find what people are searching for.

Did you know that there are many search phrases per day that have never been used before? What we tend to do is take the literal keywords and pop them into our advertising campaigns. This is mechanical. We are basically doing data entry.

So rather than doing that what we need to do is to find out what people are actually looking for and what they need help with, relative to any given keyword. How do you this? You take your given keyword then input it into Google with the keyword "forum" and see if there are any forums relative to that keyword. Once you find one, see what people are asking. Try and understand the essence of their problem and what they are looking for. In actual fact you can harvest some great keywords from forums.

The result is you now have even more keywords. Now relative to those keywords put phrases in front and after them. In the example of acne some one asked, "why are my pours getting so clogged"? So you would build more phrases such as blocked pours, clogged pours etc. You would also put the general keyword into your campaign. Then with a tool that tracks keywords coming into your sites you will see exactly what people searched for and once again you build on that.

How to choose the right seo company

Even if you are armed with all the knowledge of SEO, you might and probably still need the services of a good SEO company. Having a good knowledge about SEO is hardly enough sometimes. Even if you are doing your best to try to get a good ranking for your site, you may still end up wondering why your site is just not doing well. For starters, you should be aware that your site will need to be optimized in all aspects. Not only that, your site needs to be maintained in a regular basis. SEO is an ongoing process that involves a lot of time and effort. To make things easier, you will be better off hiring the services of a good SEO company to do the work for your site.

There are many SEO companies today, and there are just as many reliable companies as unreliable ones. Thus, it is very important that you choose the right SEO company. Here are a few points that you should keep in mind when selecting SEO services:

Site Analysis Report

Does the SEO company provide you with a website analysis report? A reliable SEO company will be able to provide you with a comprehensive analysis of your site in terms of ranking and design to give you an idea of how much work needs to be done. They should be able to inform you of any elements in functionality, content and design that may hamper in the reading and indexing of your pages.

Providing Qualified Traffic

Do they understand the difference of plain traffic and qualified traffic? You will hire the services of an SEO company mainly because you need to attract traffic into your site. However, what you want is qualified traffic that gets customers who may be genuinely interested in availing of your products and services. You do not want unqualified traffic that comes to your site because of irrelevant keywords. Unqualified traffic only increase your bounce rate (surfers that land on your page and leave) and not your sales

Tools in Determining Keywords

What tools does the SEO company use to search for keywords? You also need to know what methodology the SEO company uses for keyword analysis. You may also want to do your own research on usual basic tools and those provided by Google AdWords, for example.

Back Link Collection

From where will the SEO company get back links from? Back links are just as, if not more, important in SEO then onsite optimization. What you would like is to get back links from good sites and sites that are closely related to your niche. Ask your SEO company what their methods are for collecting back links.

Cost Structure

A reliable SEO company will only give you a quotation as soon as they find out just how much work needs to be involved. Charging you high prices may not always necessarily ensure you high quality of services. Make sure that the price being quoted is proportional and consistent with the services that you can expect your SEO company to provide.

The Timeline

Does your SEO company offer you a timeline? It is only through hard work and proper planning that results can be achieved right on time. Some companies offer SEO packages that claim to put you in the first page search result in just a matter of 10 days. Realistically though, no SEO company can possibly guarantee you the number 1 ranking in Google in as short as 10 days. This is one of the basic guidelines actually published by Google. Make sure you do not give in to false promises. Conversely, avoid SEO services that will give you time limit. A good SEO company knows that optimization is an ongoing process and they will need to provide you with regular maintenance jobs, customer service and proper updating. An SEO campaign will take 3-6 months before seing the top results you expect.

SEO Strategy

What SEO strategy will your SEO company use to raise your ranking? You should look out for companies which will use spam advertising strategies to get you on top in no time. If the plan involves some form of unethical practice such as spamming or deceiving search engines, immediately walk away. A good SEO company will make sure that you will not be subjected to spam or deceptive services. Remember that if it is based on deceitful tactics, your site may simply be pulled out of Google's indexing and will lead you to trouble. Knowing your SEO company and doing your own research are very important in choosing the right firm.

How to manage a family business

Business and personal matters are hard to combine but in a family business, owners are forced to deal with both personal and professional issues at the same time. This situation leads to pressure on the part of the business owner to perform according to the expectations of his family and sometimes, it hinders him from doing what is necessary to improve business operations. In addition, he is also pressured to make decisions that are acceptable to all members of his family to be able to enjoy a harmonious relationship at home.

However, it is important to realize managing a business in today’s environment is not that simple. There are times when difficult decisions need to be made to ensure the survival and the profitability of the business. So whether it is a family owned business or not, the business should be managed as a serious enterprise and not something that is just founded as a hobby because this will surely lead to failure if it is not properly managed.

It is also important to tackle the issue of succession in the business especially if the owner of the business has more than one child. There had been a lot of cases wherein the children of the owner fight over the ownership of the business because the owner did not make it clear who will own the business after he has passed away. Now, everyone wants to avoid this scenario and the truth this, avoiding these kinds of situations can just be a matter of planning. Having a defined succession guide will enable all the children to live harmoniously with one another while helping the business success.

There should also be a designated leader whom everyone should be able to respect and obey in the business. The leader should also be capable and can make sound business decision. This is because if he turns out to be incompetent, other family members can feel that they could have handled the situation better themselves and you want to avoid this scenario as much as possible.

But even if the all members of the family do succeed in having a good business relationship though, it is still recommended that they separate business from personal matters. This will enable them to make decisions without bias for the betterment of the business. In addition, separating the personal from the professional will make business owners more flexible in making decisions at the workplace.

Probably the most important thing in managing a family business properly though, is ensuring that the whole family will have a good relationship that will last even if the business doesn’t. Ultimately, family is still more important than the business because the business can be replaced but your family cannot be replaced.

Principles for successful work-at-home opportunities

Aren’t they all the same, only the price is different, right? So if you can find the opportunity that requires the least upfront capital and effort, and the most profit, you win, right? A big fat NO! There is a lot to understand about what makes a work at home opportunity successful and if you don’t…good luck at succeeding and making your dreams of a home business that will bring you enough income that will be able to sustain you and your family a reality.

Work-at-Home Opportunities AREN’T all the same…below are some of the main principles that MUST be understood in order to make any work at home opportunity successful:

The most important principle: WORK.

Work is involved! Most opportunities promise little to no effort…unfortunately not true (if you want them to work!) So, when you are looking for work at home opportunities that can supplement your income, or better yet, replace your income so you can stay at home and leave the “rat race”, remember it will take work, probably a little capital, and many other factors (especially dedication!) Below are some more principles to help you understand what will help make an online work at home opportunity successful for you.

Be sure the opportunity you pick is part of an organization that is reputable and has a track record.

Don’t just automatically believe the ads you see. Just because an ad SAYS the person is an “Internet Guru” doesn’t mean they are. I myself have ordered a lot of products that I have resale rights to. Just because I bought these products, does that mean you can trust me? Make sure you are comfortable with the organization, its track record, how long the organization been in business, that it meets all government laws, standards and qualifications in the countries they operate, who owns the organization, or who is in charge (remember, you can always “Google” them!) that the individual has a good business and track record, that (s)he is well respected, that the organization is well respected, delivers on their promises, doesn’t make unsubstantiated claims, has established a loyal customer base, and finally that the organization offers a refund policy.

I (stupidly) ordered one “opportunity” that failed to mention (before I bought it) that in order to make it work, I would have to spend $53,000 a year to get it up and running! Remember that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so if the ad is omitting information, why would you want to be part of that organization? You will lose all credibility with your customers, and we all know about word of mouth!

VERY IMPORTANT: IF the opportunity you choose involves ANY kind of marketing or selling, it MUST have growth potential that can grow exponentially and has a support system to help you.

Whatever opportunity you decide on, it MUST have growth potential. Why would anyone put their efforts into a stagnant or dying market? If you choose to market anything at all, the product(s) must be able to supply people with something that can quench their desires, whatever they may be. Think of your potential customer…Maybe moms that yearn for the days where moms stayed at home. Maybe dads that just want to give up Corporate America and trying to climb the Corporate Ladder...especially men that are in their 40’s or so, that see all the downsizing and are worried about losing their job to a younger college graduate that won’t insist on as much pay. Or retired people that have a limited income...these people are more willing to invest a small amount of cash, or maybe even a big chunk of cash, to make their lives better…they are the best consumer group to target. And be sure there is some kind of support system to assist you in making YOUR business successful.

Learn to read the market and rely on it.

Why would anyone invest in an online opportunity? How about…to spend more time with their family (rather than spend hours on the job and in a commute)…to break free from Corporate America and “The Rat Race” (and lower their blood pressure and stress)…to have more financial security (when working for others there is NO guarantee!)…to save money on gas! (who knows how high THOSE prices will get?)…to guarantee retirement (who knows when the next downsize will come?)…to insure continuing health.

But in order to achieve these goals, one would have to find a work at home opportunity that can pretty much secure the success of those goals…so the opportunity MUST be something that has an increasing and significant potential future. This is a bit tricky to accomplish, but researching a product/service can help guide you.

Lastly, you reap what you sow.

If you choose an opportunity that involves a downline, KEEP IN CONTACT. Help the person that joined after you. The worst mistake an affiliate can make is to ignore and not help that person succeed. Remember that HIS efforts are making you money. It is a small price to pay to help that person succeed and make you money. Remember the support system, it really works! You wanted help at the beginning (if not later) do you really think the person that joined after you does not need the same help? If you are unable to help, go to your upline. We were all there at one point. Don’t be afraid to ASK FOR HELP no matter how high on the ladder you are!!!!

Keep in mind there may be a lot of work at home opportunities that are scams. If you do enough research, and follow the guidelines above, you will become more and more adept at “sniffing out” the best opportunities available on the web.

In business how do you encourage employee retention

Many businesses fail to realise the amount of time it takes to get a new employee fully trained. It can take anywhere between 1 and 6 months to train a new member of staff. It can also take the same amount of time to find out if they are suitable for the job in the first place!

Businesses also have a high turnover of staff due to not having proper policies in place to encourage the best staff to stay on in the business.

Some of the best ways to increase staff retention are also the simplest to implement. A great idea is to increase their holiday entitlements and other benefits over time served. Just a simple thing like giving an extra day off (to a maximum of 5) for each year in service can make a great difference. Giving employees greater flexibility and more control over the hour they choose to work, based on their length of service is also beneficial.

Making annual bonuses routine and incorporating them in the wage structure also helps to stop staff leaving half way through the year.

Training all your best staff so that they can take on more responsible work and improve their people management skills so that they understand how to treat and motivate the staff below them is essential.

Training is so imperative especially with technology changing at breakneck speeds. This is a win win situation. You end up getting more productivity and your employees feel appreciated.

Talking to your staff maybe quarterly (or every 6 months) and discussing their job will quickly identify what is troubling them. The biggest problem I had in my previous business was that staff didn't get on with each other! By just moving them around either in a different office or changing their roll I was able to retain my most valuable members.

Any time you have to critisise the action of an employee, use the kiss, kick kiss formula. Start of by praising what you do like of them followed by the criticism (and how they could change for the better) and end with praise again.

Another common gripe in the work is being forced to work with outdated equipment, machinery and computers that keep breaking down or are far too slow. Your employee probably costs you a small fortune and yet some employers are not willing to spend a few hundred pounds in upgrading old technology that will actually help in achieving substantially more productivity.

What about their desks, chairs, filing cabinets, staplers and other small pieces of equipment that cost pennies to keep maintained and yet are routinely in poor working order. Routine maintenance of all the equipment is essential.

If your staffs do perform well in any task be sure to let them know. It amazes me how bosses will leap at the first chance to critisise but will not utilise the opportunity to praise. Praise them verbally and in writing, and remember to give out rewards now and again.

What do you do if 1 of your best member of staff leaves? There is a huge likelihood that they might not enjoy their new job. Make sure that they know that not only did you value them whilst they were working for you but also that the door is still open for them if they decide to come back and remember to keep in touch. Former employees, having found out that the grass is not greener on the other side are likely to be the most valuable members second time around and are much easier to integrate back in the workplace.

The hazards of online shoe shopping

The internet revolution has brought many wonderful methods of saving both time and money right into our homes. We can now purchase just about anything on the internet. We assume that purchases made on the internet are pretty much the same as purchasing in the store, and that if there’s a problem we can simply return it.

This can be a fallacy that lands us in a world of frustration, resentment, and bitter disappointment when dealing with customer service individuals. If you’ve decided to shop online for a pair of shoes, proceed with caution. First, make sure that you are dealing with a chain store and a reputable company, preferably one with a brick and mortar location near you so that if you can’t get anywhere with customer service you have the option of making a nuisance out of yourself at the local chain branch.

A person’s foot is not chronically the same size all the time. Age, activity factors, health issues, and weather can all have an affect on the size of a person’s foot. Ordering shoes online can be difficult as shoes tend to be cut uniquely and a size 8 is not always a size 8.

Double check your order before submitting and keep a close eye on the credit card statement. Double charges are not unusual. If you are dealing with a Mom and Pop store, you will be lucky to see any of your money back. Reputable chains have more sophisticated software and can often check their billing on the spot to verify and correct your claim.

It can be very difficult to prove, but sometimes the wrong shoes or shoes without laces or even just the one shoe arrives right on time. Calling to correct the situation can be taxing, long, and arduous. It is my personal belief that there are people working in the distribution warehouse that think sending out these funny orders is their idea of third shift entertainment.

Online ordering can be a pleasant experience most of the time. However, when a mistake is made it can be very difficult to get it cleared up. Whether the mistake is theirs or yours doesn’t really seem to be relevant, it is equally as difficult to clear up mistakes. After several tries and lost precious hours, it is time to head down to the local chain with your receipt and order in hand.

When you need to find good quality cheap web hosting

Cheap Hosting

By using a paid web host, you can quiescent pride a tasteless hosting carton but you'll perfect all the benefits of not having those torturing ads and immensely possibly, supplementary disk hope and greater monthly bandwidth. More than likely, you can find such a service for a monthly cost that's less than the cost of a large pizza, just to put things in perspective. Clearly, a lot of times it makes sense to pay such a nominal fee for much better service and features so you can see why this is the type of service most people end up choosing, especially for personal or family sites or blogs.

Shared Hosting vs. Dedicated Hosting

Shared hosting is what largely customers manage progression using, or at opening rudimentary out with. In this emotions of setup, the hosting matter divides the available web circumstance on one of their servers and allows complicated customers to share the space. The customers get to enjoy all the benefits of hosting but can share the burden of the cost, bringing the monthly payments way down compared to having a dedicated server. The down side is that your website is on the same computer as several other sites, so if one of those sites has a problem, gets hacked or takes up too many system resources (memory, CPU time, etc) then your site can be impacted as well.

Dedicated hosting is the picnic end to this problem, allowing you to have your carry server without extra variant body politic sharing your space, bandwidth or tack resources. Of course, the drawback is that pushy hosting costs significantly more than mutual hosting and you may also be responsible for managing your server--no one to call or point the finger at when something goes wrong.

What to Look For From Any Type of Web Hosting

Regardless of the mettle of hosting you resolve on, you should besides be undeniable that you presume most assuredly what is (or is not) included in the price. As with piece else, differentiate what you're wealthy for. For instance, the hosting provider should state you how much disk space and bandwidth you'll get. Usually, 5GB of disk space and 50GB of bandwidth will be enough for most websites and is a fairly typical setup to find. If the numbers happen to be a little off from this estimate, not to worry. But if you find a web host offering an extremely low amount of disk space/bandwidth, run away and run away quickly. The last thing you want to do is deal with moving a website from one host to another because they're providing poor features. You might also want to ask how many email addresses you'll be able to set up. Usually this number is some insane amount for the normal user, something like thousands, if not an unlimited amount. The same holds true for FTP accounts. Also check to see if the web host provides PHP, MySQL, PERL, CGI or other features you might need. This will vary depending on your intended use for your site. For instance, if you're setting up a family website, a blog, or an ecommerce site to advertise your business online, each of these could require different features. The good thing is that for that same cheap price mentioned earlier, all of the items mentioned usually come as standard features.

How to determine the origin of spam

Spam will continue spreading as far as it makes profit. If nobody buys from spammers or acts upon their scams, spam will end. This is the obvious and easiest way to fight spam. You can ignore and delete spam emails you receive. But you can also take vengeance on the spammer by complaining to the spammer's Internet Service Provider (ISP). The ISP will block their connection and maybe impose a fine (depending on the ISP's acceptable usage policy). Spammers beware of such complaints and try to disguise their messages. That's why finding the right ISP is not always easy.

Let’s look inside a spam message. Every email message includes two parts, the body and the header. The body is the actual message text and attachments. The header is a kind of the envelope of the message. The header shows the address of the message sender, the address of the message recipient, the message subject and other information. Email programs usually display these header fields:

From: shows the sender's name and email address.

To: shows the recipient's name and email address.

Date: shows the date when the message was sent.

Subject: shows the message subject.

The From: field usually contains the sender's email address. This lets you know who sent the message and allows you easily reply. Spammers, of course, don’t want you to reply and don’t want you to know who they are. Therefore, they put forged email addresses into the From: lines of their emails. So the From: field won’t help you if you want to determine where the spam email comes from.

Tip! With G-Lock SpamCombat you can easily preview not only the message text but also all the fields of the message header . You can choose the preview format by yourself. You can view the message as HTML, decoded message, or message source. There are also several Received: fields in the header of every message. Email programs don’t usually display the Received: lines but the Received: lines can be very helpful in tracing the spam origin.

Just like a postal letter goes through a number of post offices before it’s delivered to the recipient, an email message is processed by several mail servers. Each mail server adds a line to the message header – a Received: line – which contains

- the server name and IP address of the machine the server received the message from and

- the name of the mail server itself.

Each Received: line is inserted at the top of the message header. If we want to reproduce the message’s path from sender to recipient, we start from the topmost Received: line and walk down until the last one, which is where the email originated.

Just like the From: field the Received: lines may contain forged information to fool those who would want to trace the spammer. Because every mail server inserts the Received: line at the top of the header, we start the analysis from the top.

The Received: lines forged by spammers usually look like normal Received: fields. We can hardly tell whether the Received: line is forged or not at first sight. We should analyze all the Received: lines chain to find out a forged Received: field.

As we mentioned above, every mail server registers not only its name but also the IP address of the machine it got the message from. We simply need to look what name a server puts and what the next server in the chain says. If the servers don’t match, the earlier Received: line is forged.

The origin of the email is what the server immediately after the forged Received: line says about where it received the message from.

Let's see how determining of the spam email origin works in real life. Here is the header of a spam message we’ve recently received:

Delivered-To: [email protected] com

SMTP; 7 Nov 2006 10:54:16 -0000

Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

At first, look at the forged From: field. The email address in the From: and Reply-To: lines doesn’t exist. So, the spammer took care about directing bounced messages and all the indignant replies people may send to a non-existing email account.

Secondly, the Subject: line. It contains the variations of the “Meds” and “Viagra” words that are known to be met in spam messages. Plus, the subject contains a range of random characters. It’s obvious that the subject line is skillfully tailored to fool anti-spam filters.

Lastly, let’s analyze the Received: lines. We start from the oldest one - Received: from by; Tue, 07 Nov 2006 05:53:35 -0500. There are two IP addresses in it: says it received the message from

We check if the next (and last in this case) mail server in the chain confirms the state of the first Received: line. In the second Received: field we have: Received: from unknown (HELO ( by mail1.myserver. xx with SMTP; 7 Nov 2006 10:54:16 -0000.

mail1.myserver. xx is our server and we can trust it. It received the message from an "unknown" host, which says it has the IP address Yes, this confirms what the previous Received: line says.

Now let’s find out where our mail server got the message from. For this purpose, we look at the IP address in brackets before the server name mail1.myserver. xx. It is This is the IP address the connection was established from, and it is not The spam message originates from It’s important to note that it’s not necessarily that the spammer is sitting at the computer and sending spam over the world. It may happen the computer’s owner doesn’t even suspect of being sending spam. The computer may be hijacked by a Trojan, which is spreading spam without the machine’s owner knowing it.

We hope this information will help you identify the spammer's ISP and report them about spam so they can take proper measures.

Ebooks and the factor of fear

“Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive -- the risk to be alive and express what we really are.” – Don Miguel Ruiz

Fear is a much thought of and rarely talked about emotion that tends to paralyze while defining new ways to be paralyzed.

When it comes to the development of a knowledge - based ebook fear often places procrastination on notice and the idea is left on the worry stone of life.

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Sometimes the best step to take is the first one. Sit down today and write out a few ideas. They don’t have to be perfect, in order, or even make perfect sense, but they can be a powerful first step to developing an ebook. Oh, and when tomorrow comes take another step.

“Don't be afraid to go out on a limb. That's where the fruit is.” – H Jackson Browne

Think about the achievements you have made in life. Each one was based on taking a hard first step, learning a new skill and hanging out on a limb.

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” – Henry James

Life really is great. Sure, bad things happen, but if you can take the time to see the things you have to be grateful for and then share it with others it is almost as if you use the ingredients you already have to make your life wonderful. You can choose to reject certain ingredients in the recipe of life.

“Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity. They seem to be more afraid of life than death.” – James F. Bymes

Opportunity may be as simple as taking your good idea and making it better by trading your security for the opportunity to go someplace new.

“You can judge your age by the amount of pain you feel when you come in contact with a new idea.” – Pearl S. Buck

Don’t let age define your willingness to stretch your wings. If you are mature in years it simply means you have more life experience from which you can draw.

“Worry gives a small thing a big shadow.” – Swedish Proverb

Worry is the setting sun and causes thoughts about things that go bump in the night and casts a show that haunts the dreams of millions. If you are worried now you should take some time to reevaluate your feelings in the light of a new day.

“I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.” – William Allen White

Ebooks provide a great opportunity to share what you know with others who want to know what you know. In many ways your words that may have been written in fear are the very same words that will provide growth opportunities in others who may read your words in hope.

Your life experience has value – share it without fear.

5 tips to make more money

Whether you are already a true believer or think the whole philosophy of Feng Shui is a hoax, it is worth the time and effort to implement the principles of this ancient Chinese practice to improve the quality of your life. Many people believe creating a Feng Shui home and/or office would be too hard or it's too complex to learn. This is far from the truth. Simple, gradual changes are all that are needed to begin to reap the benefits of Feng Shui. Taking the time to make decorating and arranging changes one at a time will result in a total Feng Shui home before you know it.

The whole philosophy behind Feng Shui is to create an environment in which the positive forces of chi can move consistently and easily through your home, and as such, through your life. It is used to promote balance and harmony in all aspects of your life. Everything from your career and financial status to your love and family life can be improved with the correct use of Feng Shui.

If you were to perform an opinion poll of everyone you know about what aspect of their life they would want to change, you would probably get a lot of different answers. However, there is a good chance you would hear a lot about wanting to make more money. Feng Shui can help even the most dead set non believer make the financial present and future they have always dreamed about. All it takes is following a few simple tips to encourage the flow of positive chi.

Tip 1. In Feng Shui, absolutely everything starts with cleanliness. Since you are looking for ways to make more money, this will apply to both your home and office. Clutter and disorganization is the bane of the flow of positive energy. In order to free it up and allow it to improve your financial situation, you must eliminate clutter from your life. This means to make a sweep of your entire home and office. Make a place for every object you need and want to keep. It is imperative that you make sure things are put away properly and tidiness is the rule of everyday. Not only will this step help promote the positive flow of energy you are looking for, it will also make your life simpler in terms of comfort and finding your things quickly and efficiently.

Tip 2. When you are looking to use Feng Shui to help you make more money, you are in essence asking your environment to help you with a growth process. What's the first thing you think of in regards to growth, besides children? Plants and blooming flowers are often the first answer. For obvious reasons, plants are used in Feng Shui to encourage growth. Place houseplants in both your home and work space to promote financial growth. Take excellent care of them and make sure they are always healthy. If you don’t have a green thumb, don't worry, just use artificial plants. In this case, make sure they are clean and free of dust.

Tip 3. Simply put, the practice of Feng Shui and making more money, involves keeping all of your things in good working order. It isn't enough to just keep it clean. Your things also must be working properly. In terms of making more money, it is also a good idea to focus any equipment you use in your job. Your computer, telephone, printer, etc., need to be clean and working well. Furniture is another item you should keep your eye on. If a chair or table is broken repair it or replace it as soon as possible. You don't want anything broken coming in contact with your money making endeavors.

Tip 4. We have already discussed the importance of eliminating clutter in your life. Another helpful aspect of this is making sure your decorations and furniture is dusted and free from any debris that could limit the positive flow of good chi. Don't forget to vacuum or sweep the floors on a regular basis either. Both are very important in using Feng Shui to promote greater money making potential. Especially at home, don't hesitate to encourage family members to help out with this. After all, the results will benefit them as well.

Tip 5. Now take everything mentioned above, with the exception of the plant thing and use those practices in your car. The Feng Shui principles operate on the belief that energy is always around us. For this reason, keeping your vehicle well maintained, free of clutter and debris, and dust free is important to using Feng Shui to make more money. Especially if potential or current clients are ever in your car, you want to be sure to be ready to make a good impression at any time.

These are just a few ways you can use Feng Shui to make more money and add balance to your life. None of them are hard or expensive, and they will all help you create the life you have always wanted.

Integrating a website with your business

It has been one of my continual themes when talking with clients about their websites that their site needs to serve their business. When I work with a client, I look at their website as an extension of their business model. I take a look at their overall business and evaluate:

* How do they make their money?

* Who is their public or target audience?

* How can their public be promoted to?

* How can the web be used to help automate their business?

I'll listen to what they want to achieve with their website and then recommend options to help that website achieve the points above: making money, automate and promote to their target audience.

Anybody looking to put up a website for business purposes needs to look at this. Too many business sites are very poorly thought out and underutilized. A good website is a lot more than good design. A good design and some content means only that a website is acting as a glorified brochure. Its better than nothing and any business today which does not at least have that really needs to get on the ball. However, beyond design, you can look at how the site will achieve the points above.

Now, a business which is all web-based is very straight-forward in this department. A web-based business is going to want to collect payments from customers via the web, so we're going to want a secure payment system on that website. We also want that website to be well-designed so that it does not confuse people and attracts the customers' eyes to those things which make the business money. We're also going to want to discuss how the web can be used to promote. A business which is not web-based would want to consider what they can provide on the web to extend their business. Traditional brick-and-mortar businesses may have a storefront or may need to deal with clients in person, but what can they do on the web to extend their reach?

Promotion is paramount to success in business and on the web. A website can perform any of many promotional tasks such as:

* Collecting sales leads by asking visitors to fill out a form. Perhaps give them some free, valuable content in exchange for their information.

* Collecting email addresses for use on a mailing list

* Auto-responders sending targeted emails automatically based on customer's indicated interests on a form

* Providing metrics on customer interest using landing pages and keyword advertising

* Running polls and surveys to find out what your potential customers want

* Running free articles which educate your customers on the subject matter of your business and get them interested.

A website is a footprint on the internet which is viewable worldwide. Depending on the nature of your business, visitors located well away from you may not be that useful in terms of potential clientele. However, there is no reason why you cannot still gather information from them to use with your local clientele. After all, if they arrived to your website, they were interested enough to come. They are a public for you regardless of their location. Perhaps you can even find a way to change your business model to include these people which are not located locally to your business.

In terms of automation, keep something in mind. A web server is simply a computer. Computers are great at doing repetitive tasks that humans either hate or would find a huge waste of time. For this reason, it is always a good idea to look over those business functions which are repetitive and see if your website can serve to make your life easier. For example:

* Sending your email newsletters could easily be done using your web server. Click a button and email your entire mailing list. Easy.

* Auto-responders can take care of automatically emailing your customers relevant information at regular intervals.

* Automatically compile sales statistics and email them to you each morning (if you do web sales)

* Export sales transactions directly into your accounting software to avoid typing them all in manually.

There are a number of ways a web server can be used to serve a very real business function and actually do some of the work for you.

A lot of this comes under the heading of programming. Design is design, however making the site actually DO something means it has to be programmed. So, if you are skilled in this area, you can do it yourself. Or perhaps you can hire it out to somebody. Before any of that, though, look over your entire business and the website you have and see how it can be utilized to make your business easier to manage or actually drive in business. Unless your website is personal in nature, then it is through the lens of business that your site needs to be evaluated.

Entrepreneur lifestyles - work smart not hard

I don't know many people who wouldn't want to work at home and enjoy the freedom that it offers. The problem is, for most people, that they still need to contend with working a full time job and handling all of their other responsibilities. That is why, for most people, living the work at home dream is something that will always be out of their reach, but it doesn't have to be that way.

There are really two different ways to work. You could work hard or you can work smart. Either way you are going to have to work, but one way you will end up living your dream, the other way you will simply be chasing your tail. Here is an example of each that will show you the difference.

Our first example subject wants to work from home so they start their own business. They spend all of their spare time in the evenings and on the weekends contacting potential clients and following up on leads. They spent the majority of their time writing emails and making calls that really lead to dead ends, but they were persistent. It takes a year or more but they finally have something that will allow them a measure of freedom. The problem is that in the mean time, they lost a lot of time, and the stress took a toll on their home life and their health.

In the second example, they also have a desire to work from home so they join an online business opportunity. Since they chose a legitimate opportunity, they were able to get into a system that was already proven to make them money. During their spare time they launched the business and allowed the opportunity to work for them. Since the system was already automated, they had time to allow their business to grow to success while they did not give up their existing lifestyle. In the end they found success and began living the dream of working from home.

Which of these two examples would you like to follow? Most people would gladly work from home and find a successful system that gave them the cash that they needed, the real problem is that if you are in the wrong system you are going to have to spend all of your spare time working it. By being in part of an automated business opportunity, you will have the chance to allow it to work for you while you work your way into your new lifestyle. It's the difference between working hard and working smart.

Provided you follow the leaders in any legitimate business opportunity, you will be giving yourself the needed methods and direction that are necessary to find true success. Not only that, but you will be doing so while not sacrificing your family life or health. In fact, the additional money that will be coming in while you are reaching out for success will help to relieve you from some of the stresses that we all face. In the end, you will be happier, healthier and will have found your dream of working at home.

Product sourcing the right way using onesource

For the person wanting to break into Ecommerce or hoping to flourish their already existing business, finding the right products at the right price can be one of the most significant challenges. It seems spammers and illegitimate wholesalers are lurking around every corner hoping to get your business and take money from the sale that is rightfully yours. World Wide Brands offers their product OneSource to provide you with genuine, factory-authorized wholesale suppliers who want to work with you to increase your profit and make your product sourcing as successful as it can be.

Let’s get one thing straight—most often seeking out wholesale suppliers through Internet search engines is a time-waster. In fact, the legitimate wholesalers are not even in the results of such search queries. Sure, by putting in hours and hours of time and energy, you may be able to come up with the product sourcing research to support your business, but even then you will be missing out on information that can take your Ecommerce to the next level.

Instead of wasting your valuable time and money, wouldn’t it be more cost effective to work with a company that has already done the research? World Wide Brands’ One Source has a full-time research staff that has identified the real and fraudulent wholesalers through in-depth online and offline research. In addition, their staff attends the most significant wholesale trade shows throughout the U. S. to determine which ones are the best and are willing to provide the product sourcing for your unique business.

While this important research is being done, you can attend to other important areas of your business, saving you time, money, and the frustration of getting hooked up with wholesale spammers. Finally, One Source provides you with a compiled list of the very best wholesalers offering the products you need to make your home-based Internet business work.

Although having good wholesalers is an important part of your business, knowing what to sell is another key aspect of product sourcing. Products can literally make or break your business. With an ever-changing market, keeping the right products in your hands is yet another task requiring a lot of solid research. Once again, World Wide Wholesalers can get it done with OneSource.

In order to sell online, you have to keep up with the needs of the market. OneSource provides market research analysis each time there is a product search. The information you receive will include, the sell success rate of each product you search for, the number of people searching for the product online, information about competitors selling the same product, and which search engine keywords are most popular for the product you want to sell.

You don’t try to find a new way to mail a package, because you know there are package-mailing professionals to do that for you. So why try to do your own product sourcing? Leave it to the expert—World Wide Brands OneSource—and you can save time and money, and gain the upper hand in your product sourcing efforts.

The business planning process launch your small business startup with success

Business planning is one of the most important steps towards building a successful startup business, and you can use some specific strategies to create a comprehensive outline. An effective business plan will help you determine your goals and help you organize all of your small business ideas with ease. If you’ve ever been stuck with too many ideas and not knowing where to start, business planning will help take the pressure off. Understanding the business planning process is important for creating something that works, and something that will help you reach your goals. Launching your small business startup is much easier with a clear, step-by-step outline; here’s what you need to know:

Step 1: Organize your table of contents. This will help you outline each area of your business to include your mission statement, products and services, number of employees, and any basic market research information.

Step 2: Collect attachments and appendix materials. These are especially important if your business plan will be reviewed by potential investors or business partners, and can also help with your online business planning strategy.

Step 3: Create a list of key topics and sections. Not only will this create a cohesive document, but you’ll also be able to jumpstart your business planning process with a clear ‘map’ or guide of all your strategies. This list is especially helpful if you’re not sure where to begin, since you can just put each item down on paper and organize it accordingly.

Step 4: Assign projects and tasks for each area. This is an effective business planning strategy as it helps you break down each goal into actions steps. Assigning tasks and objectives in this way makes it much easier to stay on track during each step.

Step 5: Check for grammar, spelling, and even factual errors. Making sure your plan and notes are clear of mistakes is especially important if you’ll be presenting it to others. Doing a quick check will also help you determine if you missed any pieces of critical information and help you fine tune the final draft.

Step 6: Write up an executive summary for your small business startup. This is an important step for all business owners, and can help you pull together the entire plan in a few short pages. Many business owners turn to this summary when they need a briefing on objectives during the course of business, and you can include basic points and topics as if you were presenting it to a board or audience.

Step 7: Get an outsider’s perspective. While you need to keep your business planning strategy and ideas as confidential as possible, sharing your plan with a trustworthy person can help you catch a few key elements of your project. Get an objective view of your plan and notes so you have everything in well-organized and presented in a logical way.

Business planning doesn’t have to be difficult, but many startup business owners are intimidated by the process. Take the time to organize the critical areas of your business and put them in a logical order. Then, break them down into specific objectives and tasks so you have a strong idea of how you can be successful in each area. The time and effort you put into business planning will pay off for the long run, and help you launch your small business startup with success.

The different uses and advantages of labels

Nowadays, both individuals and businesses are finding that they have too many things to keep track of. There are now even professional organizers who get paid to help you get your home in order. And one of the most essential tools in becoming organized is the label. They come in various sizes, shapes, colors and some are transparent. While some labels are permanent, others are removable. They can be made by hand or on Inkjet and laser printers. Although most labels use words, colors can also be used to quickly identify a certain type or group of records. Hospitals and physicians, for example, use colors to rapidly identify patients and their conditions.

You can make the labels you need using your own computer and printer. Most word processing programs, such as Microsoft Word, come with easy to use label making templates. So many people use labels that you can buy them almost anywhere packaged by size and purpose. Labels are available for almost any need that the consumer or business may have, including name badges, business cards and mailing labels.

Labels allow us to impose order and avoid chaos in our lives. Whether it is being able to discover where we left the greeting cards or identifying which box holds the cancelled checks, labels enable us to find everything efficiently and without wasting time prowling through the wrong drawers, folders and boxes. Likewise in business, labels are used to identify file folders on our desks and in our file cabinets. They allow us to keep track of work in progress, finished work that is still pending, and work being stored for later consultation. Merchants use labels with bar codes, which are scanned by the cashier to obtain prices. The bar codes also provide information to the store buyers regarding inventory on hand, better enabling them to decide what to buy and what to discontinue.

With the amount of paper that everyone gets in a year from bills, credit card statements, bank statements and insurance companies, we all need an archiving system to let us quickly access our personal data. If you don’t think this is so, just recall the time you had to do your taxes and couldn’t find the receipts you needed to work out or verify all your deductions. A personal archiving system is the solution. If you don’t want to do everything yourself, office supply companies sell archiving systems with sturdy storage boxes, labels and an internal filing system for use inside each box.

Businesses make use of labels to organize their internal record keeping. They also use labels for contacting their customers and suppliers. Each label contains a customer number and address. Magazine labels include information regarding subscription dates. Membership organizations include membership and dues information on their labels. Large scale projects often involve transferring data from a spreadsheet into a label template. Many businesses use Mail Merge, a feature in Microsoft Word, which converts lists of names and addresses into a format to produce easy-to-print labels. Label companies make labels of various sizes to include all the information that the business requires. In addition, they sell detachable labels that can be printed one at a time without wasting other labels.

Today, business labels contain more than just shipping information. Many businesses put their company logo and slogan on their labels to enhance customer recognition of their service and product. When customers see a familiar logo, they are less likely to discard an envelope or catalog unopened. They are also more likely to order something because the logo equates with dependable service and quality products.

Tips for selling a business

There is no right or wrong time to sell a business and there can be many different reasons like financial, lifestyle change, family committments, location etc. When a business onwer has reached the decision that it is time to sell their business, there are many steps that need to be taken, carefully.

If you are thinking of selling your business, here are some tips to get you started:

1. Give out the real digits

It pays to keep your financial books organized and updated. Provide all financial information that a potential buyer needs to know. They have the right to be given an accurate account of your profit and loss.

Your financial statement should be complete. You should at least state 3 years of your business’ income statements. It would also help to provide your tax returns and lease statements. If you are under a loan, provide your current balance and schedule of payments.

All the documents mentioned above would be thoroughly inspected by your buyers. Be sure that you are ready to answer all their questions about the financial status of your company. If you can provide your buyer a concrete business and budget plan, so much the better. It would give them the impression that you have an organized business to start with.

2. Don’t overprice

After looking at all your financial documents, you would have an idea on what’s your business is worth. It is recommended that you hire a professional financial analyst to give you a fair monetary value of your business.

You would not attract any potential buyers with a high price. The key in getting a quick sale is to keep the price of your required down payment very affordable. Some business owners are also willing to offer seller financing. This means that a seller provides or facilitates a loan for a buyer in order to close the sale. The buyer would then agree to pay an agreed amount over a specific period of time.

3. Make your business attractive

Entice buyers to buy your business by adding more value to your company. Make your package attractive as you can but remember to offer a fair price.

More buyers would be interested in your company if you make all your paperwork organized, complete and impressive. It would be a good idea to reduce your cost by avoiding purchasing equipments that are not really a necessity.

Build a stronger customer base prior to selling your business. You can do this by offering promos, discounts and special deals for your customers. Providing a complete documentation of your employers and suppliers is also a plus.

You can easily sell a business by keeping your premises clean and attractive. If your budget permits it, it would be a good idea to renovate your business area. If not, cleaning and repainting would do.

4. Run your business

Even if you are selling your business, you should not stop operation. Keep your business running. Your buyers would be totally turned off if they would see even a slight hint of desperation in your part. That’s why it is important to know the reason why you are selling off your business. Keeping your company operational would give an impression that your business is profitable and still in good shape.

5. Keep things confidential

If you are selling your business, don’t broadcast it to the world. Customers may have an impression that your company might be encountering serious problems, this would ultimately result to lower sales. Also keep your employees in mind. They would probably look for another job even before you can make the sale. Losing manpower can be a real hassle in your part.

6. Know your buyers

Build a good rapport with all your potential buyers. Be aware that there are a lot of scammers and timewasters out there. For this reason, always screen each and every buyer that you encounter. Watch out for your competitors who might play as a buyer in order to pry and gain confidential information about your business. For your protection, have your lawyer draft a confidentiality agreement between you and other interested parties.

In summary, you can successfully sell your business for a good price if you keep all your business and financial documents well accounted for. Next, keep your bidding process organized and legitimate. You can also consider getting the help of a business agent or broker to help you with selling your business, however with the help of the internet many business owners are opting to sell privately.

Selling privately can save you thousands of dollars in agent commissions and is quite simple to do. Not only are more business owners selling privately, but more potential purchasers are choosing to buy privately.

A popular method is to advertise in local news paper classifieds, along with advertising on business for sale websites will get you great results!

Home-based business the apathy buster

Summary: When an individual no longer had the ability to make a determination on what they would do with their lives as far as being self-sufficient they simply felt their only choice was to become someone’s servant in the workplace – apathy was the result and it affects all areas of society today.

He was a rancher and he subcontracted to be a stagecoach driver in the late 1800’s. He had four sons and they all served in the military because that’s what America’s sons did as a way of expressing gratitude for the freedom to pursue life.

As the man aged he found it more difficult to manage a ranch on his own so he leased the land for farming and he became a railroad engineer and later a police officer after his wife passed away.

But when he talked about what he loved best it was always ranching. He would recall the days riding fence or rescuing cattle after a blizzard. He always recalled these as the hardest years of his life, but the most rewarding and his eyes twinkled as he spoke.

His story is echoed across an aging population. They felt most alive when they called the shots – when they controlled their destiny.

As industrialization swept the country and as a second wage earner was required to make ends meet many people abandoned the notion that they could ever own a business so they simply went to work wherever they could find it, and this, I contend was the beginning of widespread apathy in America.

When an individual no longer had the ability to make a determination on what they would do with their lives as far as being self-sufficient they simply felt their only choice was to become someone’s servant and life was drained from living.

As time marched on new generations simply looked to the future and saw college as their means of finding the best job they could. Most college graduates today are not contemplating job creation they are only contemplating job offers.

Perhaps the apathy that is pervasive in the world today has to do with the feeling that there is no destiny to control, no decisions to make and no future to get excited about.

This idea runs parallel with statistics that show a steady decline in job satisfaction among America’s workforce.

There would certainly be a problem if today’s workforce were to simply leave the workforce and attempt to develop their own business. There are so many service industries today and each of them require a steady supply of willing workers, but the idea of a home-based business is appealing to those who had grandparents and great grandparents who once knew the joy of business ownership.

There are many reasons cited for apathy in America. I contend the prevailing feeling that we are not in control of our own destiny and that our choices are few are the feelings that leads many to simply work for the weekend without being able to see something better five years down the road or remember something better in the past.

Home-based business could be a positive answer for negative apathy for many who have a dream they have been hiding for far too long.

The one traffic tool every product owner should be using daily

What if there was a magic bottle that you could rub and a traffic genie would pop out to beckon to your every internet marketing command?

After the initial shock wore off, you’d be quite happy to have it in your possession, right? :-)

Well, in a manner of speaking, such a genie exists. She exists in the form of an “affiliate manager”.

An “affiliate manager” is someone who oversees the operations of an affiliate program in exchange for compensation.

And, out of all the traffic “tools” on the market, the affiliate manager is the one that you should be using daily in your business if you own your own product.

The bottom line is: more traffic, which results in more revenue for you.

But, specifically, there are 3 reasons why you need an affiliate manager...

1. Recruiting.

Your affiliate manager can recruit new affiliates into your program for you. Instead of you spending time trying to find (and then convince!) affiliates to join your program, your “affman” can do this for you while you focus on other things.

2. Rewarding.

Everyone knows that simply getting people to join your affiliate program is not enough. It takes a lot of effort to get passive affiliates to become (and stay!) active. An affiliate manager is responsible for motivating your team to remain involved in your promotions.

3. Running.

Beyond getting affiliates into your program and making sure they stay active, your affiliate manager can “run” as much of your operations as you want her to. Here are just a few things my affiliate manager (props to Nicole!) does...

* Creates training materials

* Write follow-up mailings

* Communicates with affiliates

* Answer affiliate support questions

* Monitors contests and incentive programs

* Posts to our blog

* Clerical stuff (creates rebrandable files, etc.)

* Circulates content (article directories, etc.)

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Perhaps the best part of hiring an affiliate manager is the fact that it doesn’t have to cost you a penny in out of pocket expenses. That is, you can setup your agreement to be performance-based: you pay the affiliate manager a percentage of the overall revenue generated through her efforts ... the more revenue she brings in through the affiliate program, the more she earns.

Now, the question is –

** Where do I find an affiliate manager? **

There are actually quite a few ways to find quality (emphasis needs to be on “QUALITY!”) affiliate managers for your program. Let me share just one...

One of the easiest ways to find an affiliate manager is to visit your favorite affiliate marketing (or internet marketing) forum and post a request asking for recommendations or responses for your needs.

You can do this in two ways -

1. Post a PUBLIC Request.

That is, you post a message for everyone to see, with brief details on the position you have available and that you are seeking recommendations or interest to explore further.

2. Post a PRIVATE Request.

The other option is to identify those participants at the forum who appear to have experience and/or knowledge in affiliate marketing who might be good affiliate manager material. Then, you would simply contact them privately to see if there is interest in discussing your needs.

Running your own affiliate program is a tremendous traffic generation tool, but it has a lot of parts. There are many different activities that are involved in successfully running an affiliate program, and hiring an affiliate manager to oversee your operations is a great way to free up your time to work on creating additional products and other “creative” work.

A good affiliate manager can bring in affiliates, train and motivate them, and run your operations for you. Her efforts bring in the traffic; your efforts turn the traffic into orders.

It’s the closest thing to a traffic genie in a bottle that you’ll find. Rubbing is optional. Using this strategy isn’t.
